Course: Better Together

A cultural integration course that makes it easier to understand, participate, and feel a sense of belonging in Swedish society.

Cultural integration course

Moving to a new country involves more than learning a new language. Invisible rules, unwritten norms, and unfamiliar systems can make everyday life difficult to navigate.

Helping newcomers understand Swedish society

The course Better Together supports organizations in creating better conditions for meaningful integration. The course gives newcomers the tools to understand Swedish society. Through cultural support, we aim to promote understanding, social connections, and a stronger sense of belonging.

Who is this course for?

The training is designed for organizations, employers, and other organizations that want to give newcomers better opportunities to understand and become part of Swedish society.

It is particularly relevant for those who want to:

  • Give newcomers a better understanding of Swedish culture and society
  • Make it easier to navigate Swedish norms, values, and social codes
  • Provide practical tools for handling everyday situations
  • Facilitate social connections and create a stronger sense of belonging
  • Support smoother integration into working life and society

What will participants gain?

Cultural understanding

We explore Swedish norms, values, traditions, and social codes — including things that are rarely explained but can have a significant impact on everyday life.

Understanding the cultural context can make it easier to feel more confident and at home in Sweden.

Practical tools

We provide practical advice and tips for handling situations that may feel unfamiliar or difficult to navigate.

Topics can include understanding the Swedish school system, interacting with public authorities, and navigating working life.

Social integration

Integration is also about relationships and participation.

We help participants better understand social codes, build connections, and find ways to develop a stronger sense of community and belonging.

How does the training work?

We offer two formats, depending on your organization's needs and how much time you want to dedicate to the topic.

An intensive and informative introduction to Swedish traditions, customs, values, and social norms.

The lecture provides participants with an overview of resources that can help them better understand and navigate Swedish society.

Your course team

We are a unique combination of experts in language education, intercultural coaching, and practical experience of navigating Swedish society.

We have personal experience of adapting to a new society and therefore understand the challenges that can arise when starting a new life in Sweden.

By bringing together our different areas of expertise, we help others understand Swedish society, find their place, and feel more confident in everyday life.

Integration works best when understanding goes both ways.

By providing people with knowledge of language, culture, and society, we create better conditions for communication, participation, and belonging.
